May you, the family find comfort and hope in the many promises of God!

Doris and I often judged 4-H projects together, and we also served together on the area Thrivent Financial volunteer board. Faith, compassion, honesty, and sincerity were her guideposts as she dealt with people.

Doris was a very special person. She left a void in the many people she touched through her life. I have so many dear memories of her and your family growing up with my second family the Fondroys. Rejoice the fact that she is now reunited with her husband Dick, son Darrel and Daughter Elaine. Someday we will see her again and her laughter again. Love to all.

I remember loving Mrs. Fondroy as a substitute teacher long before I found out I was related to her! She was such a loving lady, always full of joy and faith. Condolences to you and your family. I'm sure Larry and Sheryl are enjoying catching up with Dick and Doris. :) I know they loved them.

Doris welcomed me at St.John's many years ago with open arms and our friendship. Stood the test of time for the next 43 years. So many ups and downs and lots of sharing. She was a blessing to those that knew her and her support was something I values grately especially durin my husband's illness and passing.

Go with God Doris. You are now without pain and heartache.

Doris was one of my most favorite judges during my 4-H years. Every year I looked forward to talking with her regarding the various projects I completed and sharing a few laughs about the mistakes along the way. Sending the most heartfelt sympathy to all Doris' family.

To Doris' family, I only worked with her a short time at Gingerbread House but she made a lasting impression with me! She was so loving and kind to the children and staff. Her faith in God radiated from her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Doris is a dear friend from way back when she taught in Spirit Lake as a young single gal. we remember so very well attending Dick and Doris' wedding in Sheldon and then visiting them on the farm as we started our families and also running into them at Cuttys at various times. we extend to each of you our deepest feelings of sympathy. your families have endured more than anyone can really imagine.

It was with sadness that I learned of Doris' passing earlier today. My sympathy to her family. It was my pleasure to judge with Doris at the State 4-H Awardrobe event for many years. She always introduced herself to the contestants as someone who was "as old as dirt!" She may have been the most senior judge by birthdays, but she was young at heart and knew fashion trends very well! I will miss her beautiful smile and spirit but she will remain an inspiration to me.

Doris will be greatly missed in the 4-H Fashion Review circles. She was always a pleasure to work with, I clerked for her many times in Plymouth County. She taught me a lot and was a great mentor. Always a smile on her face. Thought and prayers to her loved ones.

Doris was one of my favorite 'mentor' 4-H judges. Her heart of gold, sweet, upbeat, compassionate and positive personality touched all who knew her. I will miss her contagious smile, laughter and warm, inviting hugs that I received each time I saw her. Hugs and prayers to all of you.

I had the great pleasure of judging 4-H Fashion Review and Clothing Selection for the Iowa State Fair for a number of years with Doris. Her constant smile and upbeat attitude were an inspiration to all of us as judges, and certainly to all of the youth she interacted with. My condolences to the family. She touched many across the state of Iowa. With sympathy, Ann Harklau Thye

Sending our sincere sympathy to all of you. Doris was a special person during our 5 years in Albert City. Our babies were the same age & we helped each other out. Many memories. Our last visit was her surprise visit to Music Man Square & she said it was on her bucket list. What a fantastic person who will be missed by many.
