Timothy M. Hermstad

Timothy “Tim” M. Hermstad, age 67, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa died Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at his home in Sioux Rapids.

There will be no services at this time. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is in charge of the arrangements. 

Timothy Milo Hermstad was born March 19, 1957 to Milo and Colleen (Cheevers) Hermstad in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. He was raised in Cornell, Iowa and graduated from Sioux Rapids Schools in 1975. In his younger years, Tim loved going hunting.

Tim was united in marriage to Linda Roberts in 1977 in Sioux Rapids. To this union, two children were born: Heather and Haley.

Tim worked at Ryan Elevator and Ranco Grain. He farmed, then later worked at Marathon Co-op. Most recently, Tim drove truck and enjoyed spending time with his friends in his free time. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tim is survived by his special friend, Mary Boge; children: Heather (Kyle) Hennings of Hartley, Iowa; Haley (Travis) Enger of Sanborn, Iowa; brothers: Mike Hermstad of Spencer, Iowa; Jeff (Lori) Hermstad of Spencer, Iowa; Brad (Heidi) Hermstad of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren: Braelyn, Wrenley, and Kolter Hennings; Callan Enger; nephew and niece: Grayson and Kayley Hermstad; extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Bruce Hermstad; sister: Denise Hermstad; and nieces: Alex and Jaci Hermstad.
