Sharon Lacey Frommie, age 76, of Webb, Iowa, died January 18, 2022 at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa after an extended illness.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Sharon was born in Chanute, Kansas the daughter of Walter and Loretta (Schommer) Lacey, the youngest of three children. Sharon attended Chanute schools and graduated Independence Cosmetology School. In her early 20’s she was employed at the Kansas Ammunition Plant in Parsons, Kansas. She moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa and while working at Silvey Trucking, met Richard Frommie, later moving back to Chanute, where they were married. They made their home in Chanute until 2012. They moved back to Iowa to be near Rick’s brother Vance and his wife, Elaine and their family. Gramma (Sharon) and PaPa (Rick), were visited often by Ricks’ daughter Melinda, sons Ethan and Landon, who were a constant comfort after Rick’s passing.
Sharon was one who thoroughly enjoyed her home, sewing, cooking and her “fur babies”. She also enjoyed staying in contact with family and many friends through Facebook.
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Rick (4-13-2017), parents, Walter and Loretta Lacey, and her brother, Walter J. Lacey.
She is survived by her sister Genevieve Mussulman of Chanute, Kansas, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon’s wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be held at a later date.
