Sara Ramirez Jimenez

Sara Ramirez Jimenez, age 74, of Storm Lake, Iowa died on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at her home in Storm Lake.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. 

Sara Ramirez Jimenez, the daughter of Juan and Maria (Jimenez) Ramirez, was born at Queretaro,Queretaro, Mexico on December 27, 1943.  She lived her youth and early adult years in Mexico.  Sara was blessed with four children: Rene, Wenceslao, Elia and Fernando.   Sara came to the United States at the age of 38 and resided in Texas.  She moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, in 1997.  While living here, she was employed at Tyson Foods for 10 years.

Sara attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake and faithfully read her Bible.  Special interests of Sara’s included walking, crocheting, and watching soap operas.  Family was very important to her and she took pride in communicating with her family.  She will be remembered as a very happy person who enjoyed telling jokes.

Sara’s life and memory is lovingly remembered by her family which include her two sons: Wenceslao (Victoria) Navarro and Fernando (Sonya) Navarro, both of Storm Lake, Iowa, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her son: Rene and her daughter: Elia.
