Marilyn Falk, age 78, of Albert City, Iowa died on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Albert City.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Albert City. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak, Iowa. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of the arrangements.
Marilyn Jean Falk, the daughter of Lavell and Audrey (Goodenough) Hunt, was born on January 22, 1943 in San Jose, California. Growing up, Marilyn attended grade school and high school in San Jose. She graduated from Willow Glen High School in 1960. She then went on to attended San Jose City College.
On September 5, 1961, Marilyn was united in marriage to Eldon Falk in Boise, Idaho. The couple was blessed with three children: Terry, Michael, and Stephen.
Marilyn and Eldon raised their children in San Jose. While in San Jose, Marilyn worked numerous jobs in sales and food service. The family then moved to Albert City in the early 1990’s.
Marilyn was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church where she worked as a church janitor and was involved in the church prayer group. In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed cross stitching and listening to Christian music. Above all, she loved and cared for her husband and family; she always prayed for her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Eldon Falk of Albert City, Iowa; children: Terry (Kent) Cannon of Lincoln, Nebraska; Michael Falk of Brownsville, Oregon; Stephen Falk of Oakland, California; sisters, Carolyn (Harold) Carter and Jeanette Sorenson; grandchildren: Matthew (Julie) Cannon; Jonathan Cannon; Cedar Falk; great-granddaughter, Natalie Cannon; extended family and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father: Lavell (Barbara) Hunt; and mother, Audrey (Jack) Carter.
