Lestat Alucard Skull Schmeltz, four month old, son of James and Jessica Schmeltz of Fort Dodge, Iowa died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City. Visitation with the family present will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of the arrangements.

Lestat Alucard “Skull” Schmeltz was welcomed into this world on November 26, 2014 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to the proud parents of James and Jessica (Reed) Schmeltz.

Skull was a healthy and advanced baby boy. He loved to look around, never wanting to miss a thing. Skull also had discovered his voice and liked to make noises to all those around him.

Skull was deeply loved by his family. Although his time here on earth was short, his family knows Skull is now in Heaven, serving as a warrior angel in the Lord’s army.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: James and Jessica Schmeltz of Fort Dodge, Iowa; grandparents: Michaele Cox of Albert City, Iowa; Cindy Reed of Fort Dodge, Iowa; great-grandmother, Jean Cox of Rockledge, Florida; uncles: Robert Schmeltz of Sioux City, Iowa; Billy Krause of Storm Lake, Iowa; A.J. Krause of Sebastian, Florida; great-aunts: Mary Sanger of New Jersey; Eileen Hicks of St. Petersburg, Florida; Jolene Fehr of North Carolina; cousins; and other extended family and friends in the Fort Dodge, Iowa area.
