Glenn D. Wipperling, age 44, of Laurens, Iowa died Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Laurens Good Samaritan Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Marathon, Iowa with Pastor David Schumann officiating. Burial will be in the Poland Township Cemetery in Marathon. Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held Monday evening, July 17, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake, where the family will be present.

Glenn Dale Wipperling was born August 23, 1961 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Marvin Wipperling, Sr. and Caroline (Sothan) Wipperling. His family moved to Iowa and Glenn graduated from high school in Pocahontas, Iowa with the Class of 1980.

On February 8, 1982, Glenn was united in marriage to Deb Witzke at Grace Lutheran Church in Newell, Iowa. They were blessed with two sons: Brian and Tony.

Glenn was an avid sports fan, liked to play Nintendo and enjoyed watching movies. He was a devoted husband and father who treasured his family and the time he could spend with them. He will be long-remembered in his family’s memories.

Survivors include his son Brian and his fiancée Allison, of Storm Lake; son Tony of Odebolt, Iowa; brother Marvin and wife Sandy Wipperling of Newell; brother Ron Wipperling of Storm Lake; and brother Leon and wife Kathi Wipperling of Alta; sister Cindy Morse of Storm Lake; sister Kathy Wipperling of Storm Lake; nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal and maternal grandparents; one sister, Teresa Mason; and a nephew, Gabriel Mason.
