After her parents divorced she spent the remainder of her life mostly in Grant Township BV Co Iowa. She was confirmed at Nain Lutheran Church, Newell. She attended school in Newell through 10th grade.

On August 27, 1935 she was married to Henry Wilde at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cherokee. They made their home in Storm Lake where their oldest 2 children, Lester and Dorothy, were born.

When the opportunity arose they moved to the country and began their life on the farm in Grant Township, BV CO. The family would grow to include 2 more children, Donald and Eileen.

While and after recovery she picked up her interest in sewing and joined in Mission Sewing Group. She would make many quilt tops, help with the tying and doing hand quilting. She held the treasurer’s office with the Ladies Aid and helped the group to serve at many funerals.
