Eunice Heine Garnett, age 66, of Albert City, Iowa died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Newell Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2006 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Albert City, with Reverend David Bernhardt officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Township Cemetery at Albert City. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, August 10, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City, where the family will be present.
Eunice Edna Hantelman was born July 20, 1940 in Fenton, Iowa to Gerhard and Edna (Westfall) Hantelman. She attended Sentral-Fenton High School, graduating with the Class of 1957.
On September 28, 1957, Eunice was united in marriage to Burnett Heine in Fenton, Iowa. They were blessed with five children: Robin, Larry, Tony, Troy and Chad. She later married Jack Garnett on September 30, 1995 in Albert City, Iowa.
Over the years, Eunice performed secretarial duties at Green Thumb, worked at Horizons Unlimited, and was employed at the Pocahontas County ASCS office. Her hobbies included: shopping, sewing, working with crafts, reading and solving crossword puzzles. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Albert City, Iowa.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack Garnett of Albert City, Iowa; children: Robin Gunn and Bruce Balthasar of Spencer, Iowa, Larry and Cathy Heine of Waco, Texas, Tony Heine of Corinth, Mississippi, Troy Heine and Rebekah Spragg of Albert City, Chad and Sheena Heine of Hospers, Iowa; grandchildren: Meagen, Rheanna, Will, Kyle, Jared, Jace, Jason and Zac; great grandson, Landen; one sister, Lois (Merle) Vogt of Fenton, Iowa; and extended family and friends.
Preceding Eunice in death were her parents, husband, Burnett Heine and brother Paul Hantelman.
