Enrique "Henry" Unger

Enrique “Henry” Unger, age 49, of Albert City, Iowa died on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in Albert City. 

Funeral services will take place Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Albert City. Visitation will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of arrangements.

Enrique “Henry” Unger was born on July 18, 1972 to Jacob and Helen (Henrichs) Unger in Mexico. He moved to Texas at a young age before moving to Kansas and then moved to Iowa.

Henry learned the construction business from his family and stayed in this trade most of his life. In his free time, Henry loved spending time with his family and sons, fishing, driving through the countryside and target shooting. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Henry is survived by his children: Michael Unger; Garrett Unger; Gavin Unger; Isaiah Unger; brothers: Jacob (Elizabeth); Peter; George (Tina); John (Helena); Abe (Tina); William; Isak (Susie); sisters: Elizabeth (Henry) Klassen; Sarah Krahn; Helen (Frank) Wolfe; Nancy (John) Ketler; Susan (John) Peters; Tina (Cornelius) Peters; brother-in-law: Henry Neufeld; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; four brothers; one sister-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
