Obituary
Connie J. White, age 73, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, died on December 26, 2022 at the Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley, Iowa.
Funeral services will take place Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Church in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the CHURCH. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is in charge of arrangments.
Connie Jo Eaton, the daughter of Joseph and Ruby Marie (Brock) Eaton, was born in Sioux Rapids, Iowa on April 1, 1949. Connie lived her youth and received her education at Sioux Rapids, graduating from the Sioux Rapids High School in 1967.
On August 11,1967, Connie was united in marriage to Robert White in Storm Lake, Iowa. This union was blessed with four children: Billy, Bobby, Penny and Bradley. Following their marriage, Connie worked at the Soo Locker, Alice’s Steak House and the Sioux Cafe. Connie also cared for many people at the Sioux Care Center, first serving as a CNA and later receiving her certification as a dietary supervisor. Special interests of Connie’s included doing crossword puzzles and word searches, collecting elephants and Elvis Presley memorabilia, and caring for her two special dogs, Buddy and Jimmy.
Those who will always cherish and celebrate Connie’s life include her children: Billy and Jana White of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; Bobby and Heather White of Linn Grove, Iowa; Penny White and (Scot) of Primghar, Iowa; Brad and Jessie White of Sioux Rapids, Iowa. She will be greatly missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Bill Eaton of Peterson, Iowa; Donald “Merf” Eaton of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; and Jody Eaton of Spencer, Iowa; sister: Sandy Mendez of Spencer, Iowa; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ruby (Brock) Eaton; her husband, Robert; an infant sister; and her brother, Larry.
