Carl Glenn Craig

Carl Craig, age 62 of Peterson, Iowa died February 28, 2026 at UnityPoint St. Luke's in Sioux City, Iowa. 

There will be no services at this time. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is in charge of the arrangements. 

Carl Glenn Craig was born January 24, 1964 to Charles Ray Craig Sr. and Scarlett (Branch) Freman in Huntsville, Texas. He was baptized at Free Will Baptist Church in Texas.

On March 17, 2018, Carl was united in marriage to Melissa in Storm Lake, Iowa. They were blessed with a daughter, Nashley.

Carl enjoyed fishing, grilling with friends and family, and boating. He traveled with a carnival company and will be remembered for his willingness to help others. Carl’s last act of kindness was that he was an organ donor. Carl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Craig of Peterson, Iowa; children: Nawannah Rio of Grand Valley, Texas; Natasha Freeman of San Antonio, Texas; Ryan Carstens of Rochester, Minnesota; Jessica Craig of Peterson, Iowa; Nashley Craig (fiancé Dustin Fox) of Peterson, Iowa; brother: Charles Ray Craig of Huntsville, Texas; sisters: Brenda Gail of Gainesville, Texas; Spirit Waya of Bedias, Texas; grandchildren: Aidryana, Richard, Kallub, Aydan, JJ, Cody, Richard, Noah, John, and Mark Jr.; best friend: Skyler Foley; beloved dogs: Roxy; Lulu; Zena; extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Craig St. and Scarlett Branch; grandfather: Willie Branch; grandfather: Alfred; grandmother: Nina Branch; and aunt: Louis Richards.
