Beverly J. Pomeroy

Beverly J. Pomeroy, age 79, of Oceanside, California passed away peacefully at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, California.

Memorial services will take place Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is in charge of the arrangements.

Beverly Jean Bright was born February 17, 1946 to Floyd and Arlene (Cuthbert) Bright in Sioux Rapids. She was baptized as an infant at the First Methodist Church of Sioux Rapids. Beverly graduated from Sioux Rapids high school in 1964. In 1967, she obtained her Bachelor of Nursing from the Methodist School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa.

On July 20, 1972, Beverly was united in marriage to Patrick Pomeroy at First Methodist Church in Sioux Rapids. They were blessed with two daughters, Jennifer and Traci.

Beverly worked for Allergy & Asthma Medical group for over thirty years until her retirement in November 2019. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Beverly was a big sports fan and could be found cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, USC Football, and the San Diego Padres. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, watching movies, old TV and game shows, and going for cruises along the Oceanside beach. Beverly looked forward to Iowa and Arizona visits to see family and friends. Many memories were made during family camping trips. Most of all, she enjoyed watching her grandson Gunner and his puppies Trigger and BB.

Beverly had a beautiful smile and witty sense of humor. She loved telling jokes or breaking out into song. Beverly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish Beverly’s memory include her beloved husband, Patrick Pomeroy of Oceanside, California; daughters: Jennifer (Mark Krier) Pomeroy of Tucson, Arizona; Traci Pomeroy of Oceanside, California; grandson: Gunner Pomeroy-Krier of Tucson, Arizona; extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Arlene Bright; brother: Steven Bright; sister; Barbara Bright; and nephew: Kevin Bright.
