Beth “Rudy” Ann Blomgren, age 63, of Albert City, Iowa died June 23, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City. Burial will be in the Poland Township Cemetery in Marathon, Iowa. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Lake Animal Hospital in Storm Lake. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of the arrangements.
Beth Ann Pohl was born on July 14, 1959 to Orville and Neva (Rogers) Pohl. She was baptized and later confirmed.
Growing up, Beth attended school in Rolfe, Iowa. Following high school graduation, she attended Spencer School of Business.
On June 11, 1983, Beth was united in marriage to Colin Blomgren at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert City.
Beth had a caring heart and loved animals. She loved the outdoors and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed painting ceramics and was an excellent cook. Football and basketball were Beth’s favorite sports and she enjoyed watching the Game Show Network. In Beth’s younger years, she found joy in playing the piano. She is remembered for her selfless care of others and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Beth’s memory include her special friend and partner, Pat Shannon of Albert City, Iowa; daughter: Dawn (Scott) Logelin of Waconia, Minnesota; grandchildren: Blake (Kahner) Pistulka of Waconia, Minnesota; Payton Pistulka of Chanhassen, Minnesota; nephew: Damon (Dru) Saathoff of Humboldt, Iowa; nieces: Mel (Kurt) Hennings of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Marian Zimmer of Sac City, Iowa; sister-in-law: Teresa Gebauer of Albert City, Iowa; extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her spouse: Colin Blomgren; parents, Orville and Neva (Rogers) Pohl; sister, Nadine Saathoff; nephew, Aaron Saathoff; and stepson, Kelly Blomgren.
