Beatrice Peters

Beatrice E. Peters, age 87, of Webb, Iowa died August 21, 2021 at St. Luke Lutheran Nursing Home in Spencer, Iowa.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Webb, Iowa. Burial will be at Garfield Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Webb. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.

Beatrice Elizabeth (Nelson) Peters was born March 4, 1934 in Perryville, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Stella (Mattingly) Nelson.

Beatrice attended and graduated from high school in Illinois.  After high school, Beatrice attended St. Louis University and received a dental hygienist degree.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women organization in Webb, Iowa.

Beatrice was united in marriage to Gerald Hart on July 4, 1960 in Highland, Illinois.  Gerald and Beatrice were blessed with one daughter, Joan.  Later, Beatrice was united in marriage to Chuck Peters on March 8, 1980 in Jackson, Minnesota.

Beatrice enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, baking, watching Nebraska football, listening to and attending George Strait music and concerts, wintering in Little Rock, Arizona, spending time with family and friends, traveling to Arizona to visit Craig and Penny, and watching her granddaughter, Hope, dance.  Beatrice also spent time serving on the Webb Library board of directors.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Chuck; children: Joan (Brad) Warren of Grimes, Iowa and Craig (Penny) Peters of Webb, Iowa; grandchildren: Hope Warren of Ames, Iowa, Laura (Tyler) Johnson of Spencer, Iowa and Cory Peters of Spencer, Iowa and great grandchildren, David and Maja.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Leonard Nelson and Everett Nelson and sisters, Verline Ishmael and Vivian Eskew.
