Memorial service will be Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in rural Storm Lake. Inurnment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Marion K. Eickhoff, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Boettcher) Eickhoff was born in rural Storm Lake, Iowa on August 31, 1918. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church and later confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church by Reverend Frank Albrecht in 1933. Marion received her education at Zion Lutheran Parochial School. She moved with her parents into Storm Lake in 1936. On February 17, 1948, Marion was united in marriage to Ingvahl Sievers at St. John’s Lutheran Church parsonage in Storm Lake. This union was blessed with three sons: Brian, Craig, and Kevin. Marion was employed at various jobs throughout her lifetime with her latest employment with Drs. Hansen and Prescott. Ingvahl passed away on June 20, 1991. Marion was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid. She had many varied interests which included reading, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting. Marion’s life will always be honored and cherished by her children: Brian Sievers of Storm Lake, Iowa; Craig (Barbara) Sievers of Lynnwood, Washington; and Kevin (Deborah) Sievers of Monroe, Washington; grandchildren: Josh (Laura) Sievers of Alton, Iowa; Cory (Tracie) Sievers of Collins, Iowa; Sarah Sievers of Bothel, Washington; Colin Sievers of Lynnwood, Washington; and Nikki Sievers of Lynnwood, Washington; great grandchildren: Owen and Marshall Sievers of Alton, Iowa; and Nichole and Drake Ross, of Collins, Iowa; brother, Loren (Lorraine) Eickhoff of Iowa City, Iowa; extended family and many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ingvahl; her parents; and her sister, Flora Moore; and brother, Charles Eickhoff Blessed be the memory of Marion K. Sievers.
