Robert D. Milton, age 69, of Brownwood, Texas, died on July 1, 2008, at Brownwood.

Private family graveside services were conducted on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery at Storm Lake. Reverend Jamie Cutler from the Storm Lake United Methodist Church officiated at the services.

The Sliefert Funeral Home of Storm Lake was in charge of arrangements.

Robert Duane Milton, the son of Robert F. and Marguerite (Benson) Milton, was born on September 21, 1938, at Sac City, Iowa. He lived his youth and received his education in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1957. Bob served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at San Diego, California.

Bob was united in marriage to Bertha Hurst on April 29, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was employed for many years with Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha, of Brownwood, Texas; two step-children, three step-grandchildren; his mother, Marguerite Milton of Storm Lake; other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Milton.
