Steven B. Reskie, age 55, of Webb, Iowa, died Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Private family memorial services for Mr. Reskie will be held on at the family home in rural Webb. Reverend David Schumann of the United Methodist Church in Marathon, Iowa will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Marathon is assisting the family with arrangements.

Steven Burdette Reskie was born May 5, 1952 in Marathon, the son of Charles B. and Darleen (Olson) Reskie. He was raised in the Marathon area and graduated from Marathon High School. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. On August 21, 1999, Steve and Frances were married at their Webb home.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of eight years, Frances of Webb; a daughter, Kimberly Ann of Sibley, Iowa; his mother, Darleen Reskie of Spencer, Iowa; a brother, Kent (Beth) Reskie of Spencer; a sister, Angie (Denny) Nemmers of LeMars, Iowa; four nephews, one niece and one great-nephew; his faithful companion, Festus Gunsmoke; extended family and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Reskie.
