Myrtis was a thoughtful, kind and generous person.I remember how she always had a smile, a laugh, a light remark. My mother, Jo Forstrom, appreciated the many visits she received from Myrtis and Gene while at the rest/nursing home in Albert City. She said they came often after church on Sunday. My condolences to my cousins and everyone who is missing Myrtis.

Deepest sympathy, great memories, and heart felt love for the Allen family at the unexpected loss of the treasure I knew as Aunt Myrtis. We are praying for you all during this time of grief and celebration of her journey to heaven and reunion with Gene, my dad, Burnett, her parents, and many more.
Love and prayers,
Rev. Nathan Nordine and Family

Always enjoyed running into Myrtis and Gene in Storm Lake (usually at lunchtime!) We really had some good visits. We worked with Gary and looked forward to seeing them when they stopped into the office. I always tried to get to the Thresherman's stand to get the excellent pie that Mystis served. Great people. Our sympathy to the entire Allen family.

I am so sorry to hear of Myrtis's death. We had hoped she could join some of us for a girls get together a little earlier, but she said her birthday was coming and it would not work for her. My sympathy to her boys, Gary, Bruce, and Mike. She is now with Gene and that is reassuring. She was a wonderful person.

I'm so sorry to hear of Myrtis' passing. I just talked to her at my Mom's funeral a month ago. She lived on the farm that my Mom was born at. My deepest sympathy to all of your. It's so hard to lose your Mom.

May God's peace that passes all understanding be with you all. Myrtis said "Yes" to God's love for her and would radiate it to all others in her life. May we all keep a piece of that love in our hearts and share it with all we know until the Lord takes each of us to His heavenly home. Shed some tears as she was worth many tears.

Myrtis had a gift of spreading joy. Her poems at Mom & Dad's 50th and then at Mom's funeral were an example of that. Now she's with Gene and I'm sure it's a happy day for both of them. My sincere condolences to each of the family. We need another generation of "Myrtis"s !!
